Child & Woman
Child & Women are a leading humanitarian and development agency working globally of WFUNF for the rights of every child and every woman.
Child & Woman rights begin with safe shelter, nutrition, protection from disasters and conflicts and give them some rights such as ; pre-natal care for healthy births, clean water and sanitation, health care and education.
Main roles of WFUNF Child & Woman:
To support inter-governmental bodies, such as the Commission on the Status of Child & Woman, in their formulation of policies, global standards and norms .
To help States to implement these standards, standing ready to provide suitable technical support to those countries that request it, and to forge effective partnerships with civil society .
To lead and coordinate the WFUNF system’s work on gender equality as well as promote accountability, including through regular monitoring of system-wide progress .
Meeting the Needs of the World’s Child and Woman .
Elimination of discrimination against women and girls .
Empowerment of women; and achievement of equality between women and men as partners and beneficiaries of development, human rights, humanitarian action and peace and security .
