UN SCHOOLS

The United Nations Schools Network is an inspiring, and vibrant community that provides support and advice to spread United Nations culture in schools, by highlighting key United Nations themes and issues in education and school culture, the United Nations Schools Network engages in building a sustainable future and promoting human rights, peace and security for children and youth.

What is the UN school doing?

There are no specific rules or activities for the operation of a UN school that must be completed during the school year. However, we hope that UN schools will have a UN day or week at least once a year so that students and teachers can learn more about the principles and activities of the UN.
UN days include
Day of Peace 21.9.
UN Day 24.10.
Children’s Rights Day 20.11.
Human Rights Day 10.12.
Women’s Day 8.3.
As a UN school, you support the work of the UN and are involved in building a sustainable future. Registration as a UN school is open to all schools and colleges.
